Ukrainian Bass player Timur Babashyn was born in Kyiv, 1984, from the beginning of study Doublebass in Tchaikovsky Conservatory he was already interesting in transcribing Bach Violine sonatas and partitas into Doublebass low register.
Continue his study he did first professional training with great baroque flutist Eckert Carsten in Hochschule der Künste Bern.
After Bern he went to London to study one year with the legendary Rinat Ibragimov by whom he learn a special bow technique.
Feeling that this is not enough he ends up moving to Graz to study Wiennes style by Ernst Weissensteiner.
Back in Ukraine Timur start to perform usually as solo player
and in lots of chamber-music cooperation with other soloists from National Organ Hall of Ukraine. But since he always missed deeper knowledge about baroque music, the start of the war lead him to
the immediate decision to study in The Hague by baroque expert Margaret Urquhart.
